How to vote

There are several ways to vote – at your local voting location on election day, early voting, or from abroad. You can also receive assistance in different ways if you need it. Regardless of how you vote, your vote is counted in the same way.

  • Early voting

    You can vote at any early voting location in Sweden between 26 August and 13 September (election day).

  • Voting on election day

    On election day, 13 September 2026, you vote at your local voting location. It is open between 08.00 and 20.00.

  • Voting from abroad

    If you’re outside Sweden during the elections, you can either vote early at a Swedish embassy or consulate, or send a postal vote.

  • Assistance with voting

    Do you need help voting? You can get support both at the polling station and at home.
